This Queen from Queens, NY is a by-product of Caribbean heritage, namely Trinidad and Tobago.
Her passion for beauty and wellness started as a hairstylist 20 years ago on the concrete streets of New York City. She realized after years in the industry, bad eating habits and health problems was not only the norm for stylists like her who worked 14 hour days, her clients were having the same health and wellness concerns too.
Fed up with the swollen ankles, back pain, high blood pressure and weight problems, she sought holistic remedies to help relieve the pain. "I became a stylist to make people feel beautiful, but I looked and felt horrible!"
Her journey led her into training internationally and domestically with the likes of Dr Sebi, Dr. Afrika and she also became a Certified Food Psychology Coach to help women through the emotions of eating food which is the underlying factor of all excessive eating behaviors.

Black and Comely is focused the the empowerment of black women worldwide. Our experience with self image and wellness is unique. When you are subject to rejection and from family, work and church it effects all areas of your life. Black and Comely nurtures the broken spirits and helps to create an environment for true healing from the inside out.
